چکیده
In present day power systems, Power Quality (PQ) issues are causing great concern owing to the increased use of electronic controlled drives and fluctuating other non-linear loads. This problem is further aggravated by a steady increase in integration renewable energy-based Distribution Generation (DG), employing converters distribution systems. Custom devices with suitable control strategies provide an effective solution these quality issues. this work, typical three-phase system supplying load DG considered. A shunt connected DSTATCOM at PCC employed mitigate concerns. Initially, parallel-VSI based configuration, individual DC-Link working basically on principle current sharing, has been proposed. The analysis carried out for variable conditions PQ enhancement making more theory viz. Instantaneous Real-Reactive (IRP) generation switching patterns VSIs parallel DSTATCOM. Further, improvement over above configuration combined/common DC-Link-fed advantages minimized sensing elements, reliable operation low-cost compensation. similar improvement, same IRP some modifications (known as MIRP theory). effectiveness established from simulation results. all cases, analyses using MATLAB/Simulink platform results presented detail. Thus, proposed VSIs-based configurations solutions under varying conventional

Solid state power converters are widely used in applications such as Adjustable speed drives (ASD), Static power supplies. Hence it affects the power quality (i.e.) related to non-standard voltage, current and frequency at the load side. In this paper an attempts has been to analyses the role of D-Statcom (Distribution static compensator) and located at load side in the distribution system, whi...
